Angie Pereyra, born in Queens, NY, became a South Florida resident at the young age of 8. Angie attended the University of Miami where she earned her bachelor’s degree with a double major in Criminology and Psychology.
During this time, Angie served as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for the 11th Judicial Circuit; a Guardian ad Litem is a court-appointed, trained volunteer who advocates for the best interest of abused, abandoned or neglected children who have been removed from their home, and placed with relatives, friends, or foster care. Angie took great pride in serving as the voice for these children in need, which fueled her passion to help others.
Angie furthered her education and received her Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University College of Law in 2014 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 2015. Since then, Angie has gained extensive legal experience in various areas of law.
Her legal experience commenced in the criminal defense arena, where she advocated for those charged with criminal offenses, both at the Broward County and Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Offices, and alongside one of the most prominent criminal defense attorneys and public figures in the criminal defense field.
Angie’s legal experience also extends to labor and employment law. Angie worked as a management level attorney at a high-volume plaintiff’s employment law firm. In this role she gained valuable experience in a variety of employment law related matters, including discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, under the Florida Civil Rights Act, Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), whistleblower claims, and wage/hour disputes (overtime, minimum wage, commissions/unpaid wages).
Angie currently is dedicated to vigorously defending and advocating for the rights of individuals involved in personal injury disputes, i.e., auto accidents, semi-truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, pedestrian accidents, slip/falls.
Outside of her law practice, Angie is a poem/song writer, travel enthusiast, and enjoys spending family time with her fiancé and two daughters.
